OPERATIONAL BALANCING
MACHINE BALANCING ON SITE
Disassembly-free diagnosis of all machine vibrations, problem finding, and the subsequent balancing of rotating machine parts or equipment without the need for downtime. Part of operational balancing also covers measuring machine alignment, for example: motor-clutch-impeller
How the balancing service works
We use the full spectrum of vibrations generated by equipment in operation as a source of information about its operation. The advantage is that the balancing is done on equipment that is already assembled in the plant’s operational unit, i.e. eliminating any possible effect of subsequent assembly after being traditionally balanced, or of the residual imbalance of other input components.
With operational balancing it is therefore not necessary to remove the rotor and balance it on a bench or balancing machine. Balancing is carried out on site on the customer’s machine or equipment. We are able to directly give you information about the initial and final (residual) imbalance on a machine, including a report on the vibration status of a machine or bearings.
What we balance
We will perform the disassembly-free diagnostics and subsequent balancing of rotating machine parts or equipment directly at your site – without downtime. We are experts in operational balancing. Our experience has been built on hundreds of well-balanced machines and their rotating components.
For our customers, we mainly balance:
- impellers of fans,
- turbines
- pumps,
- machine tool spindles,
- various crushing or grinding machines,
- long rotors in bearing houses,

When is operational balancing needed?
Rotary components only work smoothly for a limited time. After this time, operation may cause wear and tear on the individual components of equipment or machines, leading to unwanted vibrations. Higher vibration values significantly shorten the life of bearings on rotating parts, and can even cause extensive damage to a machine.
That said, the disassembly and repair of rotating parts, and their subsequent balancing on a balancing machine may not be optimal due to high costs or time spent repairing these devices. For this reason, operational balancing is preferable.
